The Turbo Saratoga SP is a very powerful single engine aircraft. With its wide range of speed and high payload, it is an ideal camera ship for motion or stills. With the left rear door removed, a large opening for the camera provides wide panoramas and is in the ideal position for front 3/4 air-to-air shots as seen below.
With GPS WAAS navigation equipment, high cruise speed and high payload, I can fly to a location carrying a helicopter mount with a camera package and shoot within 300 miles of Detroit in the same day. This can be a very efficient balance of time and cost when calculating day rates and equipment rental days.
